- low cost
- retractable shade for a glass roof or pergola
- simple reliable operation
- optional electric control
A low cost alternative to other awning systems where price is a major consideration, its usual position is over a glass roof or pergola. The Shading System is held down by tracks so it will withstand quite a lot of wind, especially if it is mounted over a glass roof. The tracks prevent the front rail from moving sideways in the wind and tapping on any structure.
Pulling a rope extends the Shading System. This rope is then tied to a cleat when the system has been extended the required amount. When the system is to be retracted the rope is released and a spring hidden within the fabric tube retracts the system.
It is possible to add a further tube containing an electric motor above the fabric tube to extend and retract the fabric. This motorized tube may extend and retract several individual systems. |
